Happy Veteran’s Day!!!
For me this is a very important Holiday! I have an absolute NEED to reach out and Thank Each and Every Veteran for his or her service on a regular basis but it is easier to do it on the day that we hold in esteem for those who have served.
For those of you who don’t know, I am a military brat and proud of the fact. My father served in the Air Force for nearly 30 years. Taking our family all over the world.
Which was a wonderful thing to gift to a family. I don’t know a stranger! Didn’t have time to let people be strangers when you move 11 times in 12 years. But having my Dad not be able to tell his family where he was going and what he was doing was hard on him and hard on us all.
In the 70’s he was working on a project that was about some kind of machine called a computer and a bunker to keep it safe. That was about all he could tell us. I asked him a question one day about a nuclear bomb drill we had done at school and I asked him if his bunker was for that kind of thing. He said “Yes”. He told me, that if that happened he would go to the bunker and be there but we would not. That was a hard thing to hear. There are lots of these things that happen in the life of a brat.
So as a brat I feel that the family of our service members serve as well. So Thank You Veterans and Your Families for all of your sacrifices that you made in order to keep us free.
Keep up the good and hard work. We are behind you and know what you do and the sacrifices that you make for us all.
